The New York Times > Opinion > Op-Ed Columnist: Hug an Evangelical: "Moreover, saying that one will tolerate evangelicals who do not evangelize - well, that's like Christians saying they have nothing against gays who remain celibate. "

I don't have anything against gays who remain celibate. I guess I'm officially a post-evangelical!

Interesting article. We all could stand to be more tolerant and less judgmental. We all could stand to read Richard Mouw's bookUncommon Decency. I must say that many of us in the emerging church discussion could stand to temper our words with decency. One article title I find troubling because of it's tone is We Know More Than Our Pastors. I am judging this article by its cover as I have not yet read it. But I think we must approach this and all discussions with humility. (Besides, I'm a pastor and don't know how to process this).
